CSSHL student-athletes Liam McFadden, Elias Papadatos and Luka Samu have signed WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements with their respective teams.
McFadden and Samu have both signed with the Lethbridge Hurricanes after being selected at the 2025 WHL Draft. McFadden was taken in the third round, 54th overall, while Samu was selected in the fourth round, 79th overall.
A defenseman from Edmonton, AB, McFadden joined OHA Edmonton for the 2023/24 U15 season, tallying 16 points in 26 games. This past season he produced 26 points in 36 U15 Prep games with OHA Edmonton.
Samu posted 47 points in 28 regular season games and another 6 points in 5 playoff games as he helped the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U15 team capture the 2024 CSSHL U15 Western Championship. During the 2024/25 U15 Prep season with NAX the Edmonton, AB forward had 52 points in 36 games.
The Everett Silvertips have signed Papadatos after selecting him in the third round, 51st overall of the 2025 WHL Draft. The Langley, BC defender joined Yale Hockey Academy for the 2023/24 U15 season, tallying 22 points in 28 games. This past season he would join the BWC Academy U15 Prep team, recording 29 points in 35 games.
